Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the plant social network service 'wakaba' (the 'Service') provided by the operator. Please read carefully before using the Service.
1. About the Service
The Service is a personal-use SNS for recording, sharing, exhibiting, and discussing bonsai and houseplants. **The Service is currently in beta.** Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the Service may be temporarily unavailable, without prior notice. We aim for stable operation but the Service is provided as-is. These Terms apply to all users. By starting to use the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
2. Account
Accounts are created via Google authentication. - The handle (URL ID) must be unique and consist of alphanumeric characters; only one handle per account. - You are responsible for managing your account credentials. - Users under 13 are not permitted. - Corporate or commercial accounts must contact the operator in advance.
3. Content Rights
Copyright in user-posted content (text, photos, etc.) belongs to the user. However, the operator may use such content free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis to the extent necessary to provide the Service (public timeline display, OG image generation, sitemap, search index, caching, backups, etc.). Users must not post content for which they do not hold the copyright.
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following are prohibited. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination. - Acts that violate laws or public order - Infringement of others' rights (copyright, portrait rights, privacy, etc.) - Harassment, defamation, discriminatory expression, or threats - Impersonation or unauthorized publication of others' personal information - Spam or commercial advertising (except as permitted within the Service) - Unauthorized access to systems or exploitation of vulnerabilities - Interference with the operation of the Service
5. External Integrations (Marketplace, Classes, Recommended Products)
The Service publishes user plant sales information, redirects users to external classes (online or in-person), and introduces recommended products from external EC sites. The operator is NOT a party to any of these transactions, contracts, payments, or attendance management; transaction responsibility lies between the user and the relevant external operator. The operator is not responsible for the content, shipping, returns, or payments of external links. Recommended product links may include affiliate (PR) links, as noted on those pages.
6. AI Chat Feature
The Service provides an AI chat feature for plant-related advice. AI responses are provided for reference and do not guarantee plant growth, health, or pest control outcomes. For decisions involving medications, pesticides, or law, please consult a specialist. Inputs (text, images) sent to the AI are transmitted to the AI model provider (Anthropic, PBC) and handled per their privacy policy.
7. Subscriptions and Cancellation
Some Service features are available via paid plans (Lite / Pro). - Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe, Inc. - You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the management screen. Cancellation takes effect at the next renewal. - Refunds for already-paid periods are not provided as a rule (except where required by law). - Plan content and pricing may change without notice.
8. Changes, Disclaimer, Governing Law
The operator may modify these Terms as needed. Material changes will be announced on the Service. The Service is provided 'as is' without warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. The operator shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users or third parties, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence. These Terms are governed by Japanese law, and the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
